On the first day, we depart La Paz and travel along a winding mountain road that gradually descends into greener valleys. The drive itself is part of the experience, offering sweeping views of snowcapped peaks giving way to subtropical hills. Upon arrival in Quime, you’ll settle into a welcoming town known for its mining past, vibrant local market, and relaxed rhythm of life. In the afternoon, there’s time to stroll the streets, meet locals, and enjoy a hearty Bolivian meal before resting overnight in town.

The second day is devoted to relaxation at the Quime Hot Springs. Surrounded by rugged hillsides and lush vegetation, the thermal pools are the perfect place to soak away stress and recharge in nature’s embrace. If you’re feeling more active, there are short trekking options in the surrounding hills that reveal panoramic views of the valley. The pace is flexible, so you can choose whether to linger longer in the waters, explore more of town, or stretch your legs on a trail. By mid-afternoon, we make our way back to La Paz, carrying the calm and rejuvenation of Quime with us.

This program balances comfort and authenticity, giving you time to experience a side of Bolivia rarely seen by visitors. Quime is a place where life moves slower, people are welcoming, and nature invites you to pause.

Yes. Quime is a small, welcoming town with a relaxed atmosphere. Our guides accompany you throughout the trip, and we prioritize safe transport and comfortable lodging.

Quime Hot Springs can be visited year-round. The dry season (May–October) offers clear skies for trekking, while the rainy season (November–April) brings lush green scenery and fewer visitors,  but road conditions can vary in the rainy season, which may effect accessibility.

Yes! The hot springs cascade naturally from the mountain side, but the water is captured in man-made pools to create depths suitable for bathing before continuing its path down the mountain.

The hot springs are managed and maintained by the local community, so there can be other people at the hot springs with the busiest times on the weekends. However, it’s not uncommon for sunrise visits and weekday evenings to be completely empty at the hot springs.
