FAQs About
Salar de Uyuni Full Day Tours

How do I get to Uyuni to start the tour?

Most travellers reach Uyuni by domestic flight from La Paz or by overnight bus from La Paz or Sucre or with a multi-destination tour package. The tour begins in Uyuni town with a morning departure. It is recommended to arrive the night before to ensure a smooth start.

Yes. The tour is suitable for travelers of all ages. The terrain is flat, and transport is provided by private 4×4. Some walking is required on Isla Incahuasi. If you have specific mobility needs, please inform us in advance so we can adjust the itinerary.

The famous mirror effect is most likely during the wet season (typically December to March) when a thin layer of water covers the flats. However, the mirror can appear at other times of year if there has been recent rain. Because the effect is weather dependent, it is not guaranteed, but your guide will always aim to find the best spots if reflective conditions are present during your visit.

Our tours are typically offered as private tours, giving you a more personalized experience and greater flexibility with photo stops and timing. Group tours may be available upon request. Please inquire if interested.

Basic restroom facilities are available at Colchani, Isla Incahuasi, the Dakar monument and a few other key stops. Please note that restroom facilities on the salt flats themselves are very limited.
